It was a transformation. I started with this – some frozen green, yellow and red peppers, just thawing in bowl, a can of extra large black olives, a can of mushrooms and some homemade pizza sauce that I canned last fall with tomatoes from garden.
And I transformed it into this homemade pizza. TM showed up with some Italian-flavored venison sausage that I fried with some onions and garlic. We used that to top a homemade whole wheat pizza crust, added in our other pizza ingredients and topped It with grated mozzarella cheese.
It looked like this.
We don’t eat enough homemade pizza, in my opinion. And, I made a lot of caned pizza sauce so we need to change that.
